Sari Lipitz is a surface designer, fine artist, and high-end residential interior designer. She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art and holds a certificate from the Otis College Program in Surface Design. Her surface design work brings all of her skills and passions into harmony. Her patterns explore unique color pairings, traditional and innovative pattern combinations pulled from her work as an interior designer, motifs and direct assets from her career as a fine artist, and finally, puzzle solving to bring this assemblage together.

Olivert Studios brings images of Earth into human-made spaces. In her former tableware business, Homegrown Studios, she created handbuilt one-of-a-kind whimsical tableware and sculpture. These pieces epitomize her love of pattern and detail in the natural world. All kinds of bugs, critters, plant, and sealife were incorporated into these playful, colorful creations. The concept was to have a tablescape where each element was unique but made cohesive by repeating elements. A magical table where people's curiosity could be called and their dining pleasure, enhanced.

Her surface design is an intimate study of objects and nature and how color can surprise and transform an object into something that evokes emotion. Sari makes patterns she would be proud to display on the walls of a perfect powder room, a cake stand bearing the sweetest garden treats, and the special tea towel that solely serves as stove decor. Sari is a contemplative person, always observing and taking in information from the beauty around her. This noiseless inspiration fuels her in whatever she does and creates.
